2021 IMSA at Watkins Glen International (June 27)

It’s been a busy few weeks and have finally had the chance to post race day at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International. The #55 Mazda Motorsports Mazda DPi with Jonathan Bomarito, Oliver Jarvis and Harry Tincknell won the 6 hour race. Hope you like the photos.

2021 Trans Am at Lime Rock Park (May 28)

Like a lot of race fans, its been a while since I have been to a race track to see a motorsport event. It’s great that things have been getting better, which has allowed spectators to return to the race track. The last time I’d been to Lime Rock Park was in July 2019, so you could imagine how excited I was to be able to return to Lime Rock Park for the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic. 2018 PWC Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park (May 25 to 28)

The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) Grand Prix of Lime Rock Park was held over the Memorial Day weekend. This was an action-packed weekend with a total of six races from five different classes, as well as practice and qualifying sessions. Was a busy few days, but a lot of fun. Hope you like the photos. 2017 – IndyCar GP at Watkins Glen International (Aug 31 to Sep 1)

This weekend is the season finale at Sonoma which will decide this years IndyCar Champion. Thought it would be a good time to look back at the penultimate race of the season at Watkins Glen International. Going into the IndyCar Grand Prix were eight drivers who had a mathematical chance of winning the championship. Of these drivers, Alexander Rossi in the #98 Andretti Herta Autosport w/Curb-Agajanian, would dominate the weekend with pole position and winning the race. 2017 – Seeing the Light at Lime Rock Park (Jul 27)

Last weekend the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix was held at Lime Rock Park, which is situated in the foothills of the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in Connecticut. The circuit is tree-lined, with many elevation changes, which provide opportunities to find locations with unique angles and lighting conditions. 2017 – The Indy 500 in 50 Photos and the Stories Behind Them (Jun 14)

The months of May and June are a great time of the year to be a race car fan with the Triple Crown of Motorsports being held. This week is the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A few weeks ago were the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500. They call the Indy 500 “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” and you can understand why when you see and hear 350,000 fans cheering at the start of the race as the Indy Cars speed down the front straight. 2017 – Sato Wins the Indy 500 (Jun 1)

The 101st-running of the Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motorspeedway (IMS) was won by Takuma Sato in the #26 Andretti Autosport Honda. Its been a couple of days since Sato’s victory and thought it would be a good time to look back at his two weeks at the Indy 500. Hope you like the photos.

2017 – Day to Night at the 12 Hours of Sebring (Mar 18)

The 65th annual running of the 12 Hours of Sebring and second round of the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship was held on March 18. The #10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R Cadillac DPi with Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Alexander Lynn took top honors after 12 hours of racing. 2016 – Practice and qualifying at Petit Le Mans Road Atlanta (Sep 30)

On Friday (September 30) the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship cars were on track for their final practice and qualifying sessions for Petit Le Mans. The #60 Michael Shank Racing took pole position for Prototype class and GTLM pole went to the #67 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing. Pole positions for GTD and Prototype Challenge classes went to the #33 Riley Motorsports and the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, respectively. Hope you like the photos.

2016 – Day 1 at Petit Le Mans Road Atlanta (Sep 28)

The 19th running of Petit Le Mans was held at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, during the last week of September. This was the last race of the 2016 season for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship and the end of an era for the Daytona Prototypes. The next few blogs will be recounting my experiences covering this endurance sports car race for the first time. Saturday July 23 was race day for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship Northeast GP at Lime Rock Park. Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner won GTLM class in the #4 Corvette C7.R, which gave Corvette Racing its 100th sports car victory. Hope you like the photos.

2016 – Mobil 1 Sportscar GP at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Jul 7 to 10)

Its been a few weeks since my last blog, but now have a chance to take a look back at round 7 of the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship that was held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) in early July. CTMP (aka Mosport) is a beautiful natural terrain 2.5 mile road course located in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. The 2 hour 40 minute race was won by Dane Cameron and Eric Curran in the #31 Action Express Racing Corvette Daytona Prototype. Hope you like the photos.

2016 – Day 2 at the Six Hours of the Glen (Jul 3)

Sunday, July 3rd, was race day for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship at Watkins Glen International (WGI). After 197 laps, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen was won by João Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi in the #5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP. Covered the grid fan walk and race from the “spectators” side of the fence. Hope you like the photos.
