Last weekend the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix was held at Lime Rock Park, which is situated in the foothills of the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in Connecticut. The circuit is tree-lined, with many elevation changes, which provide opportunities to find locations with unique angles and lighting conditions. The months of May and June are a great time of the year to be a race car fan with the Triple Crown of Motorsports being held. This week is the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A few weeks ago were the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500. They call the Indy 500 “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” and you can understand why when you see and hear 350,000 fans cheering at the start of the race as the Indy Cars speed down the front straight. Friday practice for the 65th running of the 12 Hours of Sebring was held under beautiful blue skies. This was my first race for 2017, and was very excited to be here for this classic sports car endurance race. Hope you like the photos.
Saturday morning qualifying was held under overcast skies, with the GTS class on the track first, followed by the GT cars. For these sessions headed over to the outside of the track for shots of the cars speeding through the Esses. Hope you like the photos
