Last weekend was the Memorial Day Classic at Lime Rock Park (LRP). Was really looking forward to this race, since it is a great event to see a wide range of cars from Trans AM, International GT, the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) and Formula Race Promotions (FRP) 2000 open-wheelers. Was really excited for my second day at the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic at Lime Rock, especially with rain forecasted, which always makes for challenging race and photography conditions. Hope you like the photos.
Like a lot of race fans, its been a while since I have been to a race track to see a motorsport event. It’s great that things have been getting better, which has allowed spectators to return to the race track. The last time I’d been to Lime Rock Park was in July 2019, so you could imagine how excited I was to be able to return to Lime Rock Park for the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic. Last weekend the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) were at Lime Rock Park for the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic. This weekend was the season opener for this race track as well as the first motorsport event of the year for me. Hope you like the photo’s.
The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) Grand Prix of Lime Rock Park was held over the Memorial Day weekend. This was an action-packed weekend with a total of six races from five different classes, as well as practice and qualifying sessions. Was a busy few days, but a lot of fun. Hope you like the photos. Last weekend the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix was held at Lime Rock Park, which is situated in the foothills of the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in Connecticut. The circuit is tree-lined, with many elevation changes, which provide opportunities to find locations with unique angles and lighting conditions. Saturday July 23 was race day for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship Northeast GP at Lime Rock Park. Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner won GTLM class in the #4 Corvette C7.R, which gave Corvette Racing its 100th sports car victory. Hope you like the photos.

IMSA returned to Lime Rock Park for the Northeast Grand Prix. The beautiful natural terrain track is about 1.5 miles in length and is situated in the Berkshire mountains in Lakeville, Connecticut. The PC Prototypes and GT Daytona (GTD) classes of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC) competed in the Saturday afternoon race. PC class was won by Mike Guasch and Tom Kimber-Smith in the #52 ORECA FLM09. Michael Marsal and Dane Cameron won the GTD class in the #97 Turner Motorsport BMW Z4. Hope you like the photos.

IMSA returned to Lime Rock Park for the Northeast Grand Prix. The beautiful natural terrain track is about 1.5 miles in length and is situated in the Berkshire mountains in Lakeville, Connecticut. The GS and ST classes of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSCC) competed in the Saturday morning race. Scott Maxwell and Billy Johnson won the GS class in the #15 Ford Ford Shelby GT350R-C. The last part of my 2014 year in motorsports photography will focus on the second half of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) season, as well as Indy Car, and races held at Lime Rock Park. As I reflect back, I think wow, what a great experience and learning opportunity this was. Thanks again to those who gave me the chance and helped me through the year.
