2015 – Indy Car Practice and Qualifying at Sonoma Raceway (Aug 29)

IndyCar practice and qualifying for the the GP of Sonoma was held on Saturday (August 29). Ryan Hunter-Reay in the #28 Andretti Autosport Honda topped the morning practice sheets with a time of 01:16.8702 and speed of 111.695 mph. For the afternoon qualifying, Will Power in the #1 Team Penske Chevrolet took pole position with a time of 01:16.2597 and speed of 112.589 mph. Second fastest was Josef Newgarden in the #67 CFH Racing Chevrolet, then Ryan Hunter-Reay in the #28 Andretti Autosport Honda. Hope you like the photos.

2015 – Indy Car Practice at Sonoma Raceway (Aug 29)

The final round of the IndyCar series was held at Sonoma Raceway. The 2.4 mile road course is located at Sears Point in the beautiful Sonoma mountains in California. Going into the race weekend, six drivers from four different teams were in contention for the championship title. The race weekend started with a 3.5 hour practice session on Friday afternoon. Will Power in the #1 Team Penske Chevrolet topped the practice timesheet, followed by Graham Rahal in the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda, and Ryan Hunter-Reay in the #28 Andretti Autosport Honda. 2015 – PWC GT Class Round 15 at Mid-Ohio (Aug 2)

GT Class round 15 of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) was held on Sunday (August 2) at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Ryan Dalziel won GT class driving the #31 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R. Bryan Heitkotter was first for GTA class in the #05 Always Evolving Racing Nissan GT-R-GT3. Teenager Austin Cindric had an impressive weekend for GTA class in the #25 Blancpain Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 REX with pole position for the Saturday race and second place in Sunday’s race. GT Class qualifying for the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) was held Saturday morning (August 1) under beautiful morning light. Top qualifier was Ryan Dalziel in the #31 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R with a time of 1:19.838 and speed of 101.816 mph. Later in the day was the drivers autographs which was a great opportunity for fans to meet the drivers. The Honda Indy 200 was held Sunday afternoon (August 2) at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Graham Rahal in the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda won the race after 90 laps. Qualifying for the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course was held on Saturday (August 1). Scott Dixon took pole position in the #9 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet with a fastest time of 01:04.5814 and speed of 125.869 mph. IndyCar practice was held on Friday and Saturday (August 1). Ryan Hunter-Reay in the #28 Andretti Autosport Honda topped the time-sheets with 01:06.5160 at a top speed of 122.208 mph after three practice sessions. Helio Castroneves in the #3 Team Penske Chevrolet was second fastest and third fastest was Jack Hawksworth in the #41 A.J. 2015 – Indy Car paddock walk-around (Jul 30)

The Honda Indy 200 was held at the picturesque Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course last weekend. The road course is about 2.4 miles long with 13 turns and is located in Lexington, Ohio. Different parts of the track are known as The Keyhole, China Beach, The Esses, Thunder Valley, and The Carousel. Over the next few blogs, hope to show you what its like to experience IndyCar at Mid-Ohio. First up is a walk around the paddock on Thursday (July 30) while the teams were setting up. 2015 – TUDOR United Sportscar Championship at Lime Rock Park (Jul 25)

IMSA returned to Lime Rock Park for the Northeast Grand Prix. The beautiful natural terrain track is about 1.5 miles in length and is situated in the Berkshire mountains in Lakeville, Connecticut. The PC Prototypes and GT Daytona (GTD) classes of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC) competed in the Saturday afternoon race. PC class was won by Mike Guasch and Tom Kimber-Smith in the #52 ORECA FLM09. Michael Marsal and Dane Cameron won the GTD class in the #97 Turner Motorsport BMW Z4. Hope you like the photos.

On Saturday morning (June 27) the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) and North America Sportscar held “Caffeine & Octane” at the RealTime Team paddock. This was a great way to meet the drivers while having a cup of coffee. Later that morning, the GT/GTA/GT-Cup classes held their warm-up session for the afternoon race. Round 12 was won by Chris Dyson in the #16 Bentley Team Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3. GTA class was won by Frank Montecalvo in the #66 DragonSpeed Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS GT3 and GT-Cup was won by Colin Thompson in the #11 Kelly-Moss Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Hope you like the photos.

The Tudor United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC) prototype and GTD class cars were at Detroit Belle Isle for the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic. Eric Curran and Dane Cameron in the #31 Action Express Racing Corvette was the overall and P class winner.  PC class was won by Renger van der Zande and Mirco Schultis in the #8 Starworks Motorsport ORECA FLM09. Ian James and Mario Farnbacher in the #23 Team Seattle/Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT America won GTD class. The IndyCar Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Race 1 was held Saturday afternoon under overcast skies and wet conditions. After 47 of the scheduled 70 laps, the race was red flagged due to bad weather. Carlos Munoz won his first IndyCar race in the #26 Andretti Autosport – HVM Racing Honda. Marco Andretti in the #27 Andretti Autosport Honda was second and Simon Pagenaud in the #22 Team Penske Chevrolet was third. GT Class Race #2 for the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was held Sunday mid-afternoon. Johnny O’Connell in the #3 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-VR GT3 won the race. This was a “clean sweep” of the weekend races for Johnny O’Connell. Butch Leitzinger and Chris Dyson in the #20 and #16 Bentley Team Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3s were second and third, respectively.
