The final round of the IndyCar series was held at Sonoma Raceway. The 2.4 mile road course is located at Sears Point in the beautiful Sonoma mountains in California. Going into the race weekend, six drivers from four different teams were in contention for the championship title. The race weekend started with a 3.5 hour practice session on Friday afternoon. Will Power in the #1 Team Penske Chevrolet topped the practice timesheet, followed by Graham Rahal in the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda, and Ryan Hunter-Reay in the #28 Andretti Autosport Honda.
