GT Class round 15 of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) was held on Sunday (August 2) at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Ryan Dalziel won GT class driving the #31 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R. Bryan Heitkotter was first for GTA class in the #05 Always Evolving Racing Nissan GT-R-GT3. Teenager Austin Cindric had an impressive weekend for GTA class in the #25 Blancpain Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 REX with pole position for the Saturday race and second place in Sunday’s race. GT Class round 14 of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) was held on Saturday (August 1) at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Ryan Dalziel won the GT class driving the #31 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R. Top qualifier was Ryan Dalziel in the #31 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R with a time of 1:19.838 and speed of 101.816 mph. Due to the busy track schedule, this practice session was held later than usual, but was a great opportunity to get shots of the cars under low light conditions and in the shadows. The Honda Indy 200 was held Sunday afternoon (August 2) at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Graham Rahal in the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda won the race after 90 laps. Qualifying for the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course was held on Saturday (August 1). Scott Dixon took pole position in the #9 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet with a fastest time of 01:04.5814 and speed of 125.869 mph. IndyCar practice was held on Friday and Saturday (August 1). Ryan Hunter-Reay in the #28 Andretti Autosport Honda topped the time-sheets with 01:06.5160 at a top speed of 122.208 mph after three practice sessions. The Honda Indy 200 was held at the picturesque Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course last weekend. The road course is about 2.4 miles long with 13 turns and is located in Lexington, Ohio. Different parts of the track are known as The Keyhole, China Beach, The Esses, Thunder Valley, and The Carousel. After a months break, the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) series headed over the border to Canada, then back to the USA for Mid-Ohio, Sonoma, and the season finale at Miller. The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a 13 turn, 2.4 mile road circuit situated near Lexington in Mid-Ohio. The Honda Indy GP was held at this track, with the “Master of Mid-Ohio”, Scott Dixon winning for the fifth time. Sebastien Bourdais placed second and James Hinchcliffe took third. This was a great track to photograph at with all the elevation changes and natural terrain. Hope you like the shots.
