GTS Class Race #1 for the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was held Saturday morning under overcast skies. Kurt Rezzetano in the #37 Phoenix American Motorsports Ford Mustang won the race after 29 laps. Second went to Max Riddle in the #07 TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4, and third went to Jack Baldwin in the #73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S. Hope you like the photos.

The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) qualifying at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was held on Friday, with GTS class near noon and GT mid-afternoon.
In GTS class, Max Riddle in the #07 TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4 took pole position with a time of 1:23.717 and speed of 105.742 mph. Not far behind were Kurt Rezzetano in the #37 Phoenix American Motorsports Ford Mustang and Jack Baldwin in the #73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S.
For GT class qualifying, Johnny O’Connell in the #3 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-VR GT3 took pole position with a time of 1:15.296 and speed of 117.568 mph. Second fastest was Olivier Beretta in the #61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia, then Butch Leitzinger in the #20 Bentley Team Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3.

GT Class practice for the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) was held early Friday morning. Fastest in practice was Olivier Beretta in the #61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia with a time of 1:15.966 and speed of 116.531 mph. Mike Skeen in the #2 CRP Racing Audi R8 was second fastest and Butch Leitzinger in the #20 Bentley Team Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3 was third fastest. Hope you like the photos.

GTS class practice for the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) at Canadian Motorsport Park was held late Thursday afternoon under sunny blue skies and beautiful light. Mark Wilkins in the #38 Kinetic Motorsports/Kia Racing Kia Optima topped the practice time-sheets with the fastest lap of 1:24.586 at 104.655 mph. Second on the on the time-sheet was Max Riddle in the #07 TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and third was Kurt Rezzetano in the #37 Phoenix American Motorsports Ford Mustang. Hope you like the photos.

The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) headed to Ontario Canada to be part of the Victoria Day Speedfest at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (also known as Mosport) during the middle of May. The 10-turn natural terrain track is about 2.5 miles long. This is one of the most beautiful circuits I’ve been to with its elevation changes, variety of turns, and long straight set amongst grass-covered hills and trees. This was my first time to Mosport, and must thank all the photographers and staff who helped me, especially the Canadian phototogs! Round 5 of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) for the GT/GTA/GT Cup Class was held late Sunday afternoon on the streets of Long Beach, California. Olivier Beretta in the #61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia won the GT class. GTA class went to Michael Lewis in the #41 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R, and Mitch Landry in the #97 Landry Racing Porsche 991 GT3 Cup took the top GT Cup honors. Hope you like the photos.

The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) qualifying session was held early Saturday morning on the streets of Long Beach. Olivier Beretta in the #61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia was top qualifier with a time of 1:19.31 and speed of 89.33 mph. Robert Thorne was second fastest with a time of 1:19.51 in the #6 K-Pax Racing McLaren 650S GT3. The GT/GTA/GT Cup class cars of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) headed west for the Grand Prix of Long Beach. Practice was held mid-morning on Friday under sunny blues skies. Peter Cunningham in the #42 RealTime Racing Acura TLX-GT was fastest in the GT class. Frank Montecalvo in the #66 DragonSpeed Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS GT3 was the fastest in GTA, and fastest in GT Cup class was Colin Thompson in the #11 Kelly-Moss Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. Race three of the Verizon Indy Car series started around 1.30 pm on the streets of Long Beach under beautiful blue skies. After 80 laps, Scott Dixon in the #9 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet won the race. The Saturday Indy Car practice session was held mid-morning and lasted for 45 minutes in preparation for the afternoon qualifying. After this final practice session, Josef Newgarden in the #67 CFH Racing Chevrolet was fastest, followed by Simon Pagenaud in the #22 Team Penske Chevrolet, and Gabby Chaves in the #98 Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb-Agajanian Honda. The third round of the Indy Car series was held on the streets of Long Beach, California. The practice sessions were held over Friday and Saturday. Josef Newgarden in the #67 CFH Racing Chevrolet topped the practice sessions with a best time of 01:07.8940 and speed of 104.351 mph. Simon Pagenaud in the #22 Team Penske Chevrolet was second fastest, and third fastest was Gabby Chaves in the #98 Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb-Agajanian Honda. The Tudor United Sports Car Championship (TUSCC) race on the streets of Long Beach was held Saturday afternoon under beautiful sunny skies. A field of 17 Daytona Prototypes (DP) and GT Le Mans (GTLM) cars raced for just over an hour and a half. After 78 laps the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP was first overall and the #25 BMW Team RLL BMW Z4 GTE won the GTLM class. Hope you like the photos.

The Tudor United Sports Car Championship (TUSCC) qualifying session was held late Friday afternoon. The #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP qualified with a best time of 1:14.790 and top speed of 94.729 mph. For GTLM class, the #25 BMW Team RLL BMW Z4 GTE topped the charts with a time of 1:17.268 and speed of 91.691 mph. Round 3 of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship (TUSCC) was held on the streets of Long Beach, California. The prototypes and GTLM cars would race next day on this two mile street circuit held through the city streets that surround the Long Beach Convention Center, Shoreline Drive, and the waterfront. In the Friday morning practice session, the #31 Action Express Racing Corvette DP topped the practice time sheets with a best time of 1:16.063 at 93.144 mph. The #62 Risi Competizione Ferrari F458 Italia had a fastest time of 1:18.725 and speed of 89.994 mph for the GTLM class. Hope you like the photos.

There is always something “magical” about photographing race cars in wet weather conditions, with the lights reflecting off the track, water spray coming of the cars, and the droplets of rain caught going through the cars headlights by the cameras shutter. The picturesque 14 turn street circuit is about 2 miles in length and encompasses the beautiful harbor front, the Al Lang Stadium, Dali Museum, and part of the Albert Whitted Airport.
