The Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen is an IMSA endurance sportscar race for the WeatherTech Championship series, which is held annually at Watkins Glen International (WGI). In addition to this race, is the The Esses 120 At Watkins Glen for the Michelin Pilot Challenge; as well as the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Porsche Carrera Cup and Mustang Challenge. With five major race series, it would be a very exciting four days at WGI. This photo story is about my first day at this event. Hope you like the photos. It’s been a busy few weeks and have finally had the chance to post race day at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International. The #55 Mazda Motorsports Mazda DPi with Jonathan Bomarito, Oliver Jarvis and Harry Tincknell won the 6 hour race. Hope you like the photos.

This weekend is the season finale at Sonoma which will decide this years IndyCar Champion. Thought it would be a good time to look back at the penultimate race of the season at Watkins Glen International. Going into the IndyCar Grand Prix were eight drivers who had a mathematical chance of winning the championship. Of these drivers, Alexander Rossi in the #98 Andretti Herta Autosport w/Curb-Agajanian, would dominate the weekend with pole position and winning the race. Sunday, July 3rd, was race day for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship at Watkins Glen International (WGI). After 197 laps, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen was won by João Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi in the #5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP. Covered the grid fan walk and race from the “spectators” side of the fence. Hope you like the photos.

A couple of weeks ago my wife and I met some friends at Watkins Glen International (WGI) for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. WGI, also known as the mecca of North American racing, is located in the Finger Lakes district in upstate New York. Spent the day covering the WeatherTech Championship practice, paddock, and qualifying; and the Lamborghini Trofeo race from the “spectators” side of the fence. Hope you like the photos.
