Round 10 of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) GTS class was held on Sunday (June 28). Andrew Aquilante in the #32 Phoenix American Motorsports Ford Mustang Boss302 won the race. Round 9 of the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) GTS class was held Saturday (June 27) under sunny blue skies. Mark Wilkins won the race in the #38 Kinetic Motorsports/Kia Racing Kia Optima. The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) GTS class testing and practice were held on Thursday and Friday (June 25 and 26). After Practice 2, Mark Wilkins in the #38 Kinetic Motorsports/Kia Racing Kia Optima topped the charts with a fastest lap of 2:17.831 at 105.729 mph. Second fastest was Jack Baldwin in the #73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S, then Ben Clucas in the #36 Kinetic Motorsports / Kia Racing Kia Optima. Hope you like the photos. The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) GT/GTA Rounds 11, 12, and 13; and GT Cup Rounds 10 and 11 were held at Road America near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The track is about 4.1 miles in length, with 14 turns, has many elevation changes, and long straights. The track is known as “America’s Nurburgring”. It certainly is one of the most picturesque road courses I’ve been too. Arrived at the track on Thursday in time to cover the afternoon testing and practice sessions. Hope you like the photos.

The Tudor United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC) prototype and GTD class cars were at Detroit Belle Isle for the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic. Eric Curran and Dane Cameron in the #31 Action Express Racing Corvette was the overall and P class winner. PC class was won by Renger van der Zande and Mirco Schultis in the #8 Starworks Motorsport ORECA FLM09. Ian James and Mario Farnbacher in the #23 Team Seattle/Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT America won GTD class. The IndyCar Dual in Detroit Race 2 was held Sunday afternoon under overcast skies on a wet track. After 68 laps, Sebastien Bourdais won the race in the #11 KVSH Racing Chevrolet. Second was Takuma Sato in the #14 A.J. Foyt Enterprises Honda and Graham Rahal in the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda was third. Hope you like the photos.

Sunday morning qualifying for the IndyCar Dual in Detroit 2 was abandoned about half-way through the session due to heavy rain. GT Class Race #2 for the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was held Sunday mid-afternoon. Johnny O’Connell in the #3 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-VR GT3 won the race. This was a “clean sweep” of the weekend races for Johnny O’Connell. Butch Leitzinger and Chris Dyson in the #20 and #16 Bentley Team Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3s were second and third, respectively. Hope you like the photos.

The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) qualifying at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was held on Friday, with GTS class near noon and GT mid-afternoon.
In GTS class, Max Riddle in the #07 TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4 took pole position with a time of 1:23.717 and speed of 105.742 mph. Not far behind were Kurt Rezzetano in the #37 Phoenix American Motorsports Ford Mustang and Jack Baldwin in the #73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S.
For GT class qualifying, Johnny O’Connell in the #3 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-VR GT3 took pole position with a time of 1:15.296 and speed of 117.568 mph. Second fastest was Olivier Beretta in the #61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia, then Butch Leitzinger in the #20 Bentley Team Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3.
