You have probably noticed a change in how the blog looks. Been trying out new WordPress themes recently with the goal of finding a way to better present the photos. Decided to give the Hatch WordPress theme a try, since it shows the photo stories in a tiled photo format on the front page, and the images on each of the posts are shown with the full page width. Will also try gallery-style photo slide shows for some stories. Hope you like the changes.

The Tudor United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC) prototype and GTD class cars were at Detroit Belle Isle for the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic. Eric Curran and Dane Cameron in the #31 Action Express Racing Corvette was the overall and P class winner. PC class was won by Renger van der Zande and Mirco Schultis in the #8 Starworks Motorsport ORECA FLM09. Ian James and Mario Farnbacher in the #23 Team Seattle/Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT America won GTD class. The IndyCar Dual in Detroit Race 2 was held Sunday afternoon under overcast skies on a wet track. After 68 laps, Sebastien Bourdais won the race in the #11 KVSH Racing Chevrolet. Second was Takuma Sato in the #14 A.J. Foyt Enterprises Honda and Graham Rahal in the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda was third. Hope you like the photos.

Sunday morning qualifying for the IndyCar Dual in Detroit 2 was abandoned about half-way through the session due to heavy rain. The IndyCar Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Race 1 was held Saturday afternoon under overcast skies and wet conditions. After 47 of the scheduled 70 laps, the race was red flagged due to bad weather. Carlos Munoz won his first IndyCar race in the #26 Andretti Autosport – HVM Racing Honda. Marco Andretti in the #27 Andretti Autosport Honda was second and Simon Pagenaud in the #22 Team Penske Chevrolet was third. This photo story will be in black and white to reflect the bad weather conditions that we experienced during the race. Hope you like the photos.

IndyCar qualifying for Dual in Detroit Race 1 was held Friday afternoon. Will Power took pole position in the #1 Team Penske Chevrolet with the fastest time of 01:16.0941 and speed of 111.178 mph. Helio Castroneves in the #3 Team Penske Chevrolet was second fastest, and third fastest was Juan Pablo Montoya in the #2 Team Penske Chevrolet. Hope you like the photos.

The first IndyCar practice session for the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix was held Friday morning under overcast skies. The light rain at the end of the session was an omen of the wet weather that we would have during the race weekend. For this session started on the front straight, then went to Turn 13, and back to the paddock. Hope you like the photos.

Rounds 7 and 8 of the Indy Car series were held on Belle Isle in Detroit (the motor city), Michigan. The street circuit is about 2.35 miles in length and has 14 turns. Arrived at the track on Thursday afternoon, and walked the paddock to watch the teams prepare their cars for practice on Friday. Hope you like the photos.
