For my last blog for 2021, thought I would recount an airshow I went to a few months ago called Thunder Over New Hampshire with the USAF Thunderbirds. Hope you like the photos.
As mentioned in the previous blog, a couple of months ago I went to the New York International Airshow. This blog will focus on all the aircraft and aerial displays I saw at this airshow. Hope you like the photos.
A couple of months ago went to the New York International Airshow and saw the North American B-25 Mitchell. Was awesome to see this WWII medium bomber. Hope you like the photos.
The Rhode Island Airshow was held at the Quonset Point State Airport in North Kingston during the first week of June. A range of air demonstrations were on show including the USN Blue Angels and the USAF F-35 Heritage Flight Team. This blog is about my experience over this airshow weekend. Hope you like the photos. As mentioned in the last blog, had such a great time at the Westfield International Airshow, that I needed to come back for a second day. This blog is about day 2. Hope you like the photos.
Its been a few years since I’d been to an airshow, so you could imagine how excited I was to attend “A Century of Air Power” at the Westfield International Airshow. Many air demonstrations and static exhibits were on display, with the USAF Thunderbirds the main event. This blog is about my first day at the airshow. Hope you like the photos. As part of my airshow photoblog series, I’d like to look back at the Rhode Island National Guard Airshow in 2010. The airshow consisted of static and aerial displays. The main attraction was the USAF Air Demonstration Squadron (Thunderbirds). The Thunderbirds were formed in the 1950s and their first aircraft was the F-84G Thunderjet. Since then the Thunderbirds have flown several types of aircraft including the F-84F Thunderstreak, F-100C Super Sabre, F-105B Thunderchief, F-4E Phantom II, and the T-38A Talon. Their current aircraft is the F-16 Fighting Falcon, which the team has used since the 1980s. Hope you like the photos.
I know planes are not sportscars, but they do have things in common, such as engines, exhausts, wheels, wings, and they make a lot of noise and go fast! That connection was enough for me to start writing a series of photo blogs on airshows I’ve been to over the years, whilst waiting for my motorsport photography season to start. Before getting into motorsports photography, airshows were one of my major interests in my spare time. The first story of the series is on the Paris Airshow from a couple of years ago. Hope you like the photos.
