Will Power started on pole position and led for about a third of the race, but took a spin on lap 40, which cost him several positions. Two laps from the end of the 85 lap race, Scott Dixon in the #9 Target Chip Ganassi passed Mike Conway and went on to win, with Ryan Hunter-Reay finishing second, and Simon Pagenaud third.
