A couple of weeks ago I visited the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, which is located in Brookline, Massachusetts. This museum is home of “America’s Oldest Car Collection” and has on display a beautiful metallic silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. This blog is about one of the most desired supercars in the world. Hope you like the photos.
To the left of the display is a great description of the history and technical specifications of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McClaren. These cars were built between 2003 to 2010 by Mercedes-Benz and McClaren Automotive. The body shell and chassis of the SLR are made of carbon fiber. A 4 liter, supercharged 617 hp V-8 engine powers the car, which can reach a top speed of 206 mph, and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.
Here’s some different views of the SLR to showcase the technology, performance, and beauty of this supercar.
